How is Restylane administered?
Prior to treatment, the areas to be administered with Restylane can be numbed using a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Small amounts are injected into defined area and distributed evenly using very gentle pressure. It is often used to treat the deeper wrinkles around the patient’s mouth (the nasolabial folds), the corners of the mouth, and the marionette lines. Each session takes about 45 minutes to complete depending on the extent of correction to be done.
How long will the results from Restylane last?
The results from Restylane can be seen immediately following the procedure and can last for up to 9 months. The outcome can vary from patient to patient.
What are the side effects of Restylane®?
The typical side effects of include redness, swelling, itchiness and bruising at the injection sites. Improvement is expected within 7 days from the procedure.
