What To Expect After Your Treatments
The healing time between any given treatment varies between different clients.
The following represents the general recovery phases you might expect. Different clients may experience variations of this.
Laser Hair Removal:
Perifollicular erythema (swollen hair follicle) and edema can appear. Lasts approximately 5-7 days. Could be a bit itchy.
IPL Pigment Treatment
Browning/darkening of the pigment, purplish or black tint to dark pigment, crusting of the pigment over 3-7 days and possibly longer on other body parts other then the face. erythema and edema.
IPL Vascular Lesion Treatment
Blanching of the vessels, greying of the vessel, deep purple of the vessel( over the course of a few days the damaged vessels will be broken down and absorbed away) 3-7 days
IPL Acne Treatment
Deepening color of the lesions, tenderness to the lesions(if cystic), blanching or greying of the vessels/vascular scars, erythema and edema. 5-10 days.
Swelling and redness of the treated areas and untreated parts may occur following your procedure and will be maximal at 24-48 hours. It is not uncommon for clients to have their under eye area swollen for 1-2 days, but it will subside. There may be redness and very minimal warm emanating from the area for the first 24 hours ( feels like a mild sunburn) you may get a bowl of ice water and place wash cloths in the bowl and then lay them on the treated area. Do not ice as it cools the dermis down to much and heating the dermis is how collagen is formed.
